David Baker + Partners is a San Francisco Certified Green Business. We follow our own conscience as well as guidelines developed by the San Francisco Green Business Program to reduce waste, conserve resources, and minimize the use of pollutants and harmful products in our office. We implement new and environmentally sound procedures and practices into our day-to-day operation wherever possible.
Yearly our office conserves 49,429 commute miles in the form of alternative transportation. That mileage is roughly the equivalent of circling the globe twice!
Additionally we are a CarbonFree Business, reducing and offsetting our work-related emissions with the help of CarbonFund.org.
Green Practice
Beyond greening our daily office practices, David Baker + Partners strives to bring elements of sustainability to the community through our designs and building projects. Many of our architects and designers are LEED certified, and members of our staff frequently take advantage of continuing-education opportunities regarding green building and innovation.
LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy + Environmental Design, is a program created by the U.S. Green Building Council to promote sustainable building practices and has become the national standard for environmental building. Learn more about LEED and the certification process.
